Rachel Slathar was born and raised in Minnesota but moved to Oklahoma at 18 to further her riding career and connections in the equine world. After surviving two domestic violence relationships, she vowed to never let what she went through be in vain, and instead to use her experiences and voice to help other victims and survivors in the equine world.
